Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern Vikneo for macOS and the optional Vikneo Cloud service. Vikneo is provided by Inweb ("we", "us"). By using Vikneo or Vikneo Cloud, you agree to these terms and to our Datenschutzerklärung.

License and acceptable use

Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Vikneo on Apple devices you own or control. Do not use Vikneo to capture, upload, share, or otherwise process content unlawfully or without the rights and permissions required to do so. You are responsible for the content you create and share, including every person who receives an unlisted Vikneo Cloud link.

Optional App Store subscriptions

Vikneo is free to download. Solo and Self-hosted are optional auto-renewable subscriptions sold through Apple In-App Purchase. The price, currency, billing period, and any applicable tax are shown in the App Store before purchase and are the amount that applies to your purchase.

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when Apple confirms the purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Apple may charge your Apple Account for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Manage or cancel a subscription in Apple Account settings, or use Vikneo’s Manage Subscriptions button. Deleting a Vikneo Cloud-Konto does not cancel an App Store subscription.
• Use Restore Purchases after signing in to reconnect an active subscription to a new Vikneo Cloud-Konto after the previous account was deleted.
• Refunds, billing, and subscription changes are handled by Apple under Apple’s applicable terms and policies.

Solo includes the cloud allowance shown in the app. Self-hosted enables direct upload to an FTPS or SFTP server you configure and includes the cloud allowance shown in the app. Team plans are not sold through the Mac App Store; any Team service is governed by a separate agreement with Inweb.

Vikneo Cloud

Vikneo Cloud is optional. When you select it, we store the captures you upload, related account and usage information, and unlisted link identifiers to operate the service. Speicher and upload limits follow the effective plan displayed in Vikneo. An expired, revoked, or unpaid subscription returns the account to the Free allowance; existing content remains subject to the applicable retention and account controls described in the app and Datenschutzerklärung.

Availability and changes

We may change or discontinue Vikneo Cloud features when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, or service operation. Material changes to these terms will be posted at this URL with a new update date. We may suspend access that presents a security risk, violates these terms, or harms the service or other users.

Apple terms

When you obtain Vikneo from the Mac App Store, these terms supplement the Apple Media Services Terms and the Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applicable to your Apple Account. Apple is not responsible for Vikneo Cloud or support for it, except where Apple’s terms require otherwise.
